We are currently piloting some really exciting activities with three local secondary schools.

In these sessions we are giving pupils the opportunity to work with academics and students from the University of Hull in order to explore parts of Hull’s maritime past in order to develop their skills as historians.

Furthermore, we are collaborating with some of our amazing contractors – including architects, maritime engineers and museum exhibition designers - who are working on the Hull: Yorkshire’s Maritime City project in order to develop a series of interdisciplinary, careers-focused workshops. During these sessions, pupils will gain first-hand experience of the skills required to work in today’s engineering, design, academic and heritage sectors.

We will be releasing more details about our programme as it develops but, if you wish to get in touch in order to see what HYMC can offer your pupils, then please contact Charlie Trzeciak, the project’s Community and Schools Learning Officer , on Tel: 01482 615 213 or Email: charles.trzeciak@hcandl.co.uk.
