Purcell are Architects, Masterplanners and Heritage Consultants with an impressive list of works under their belts, including the Big Ben, Durham Cathedral 'Open Treasure' exhibition spaces, Yr Ysgwrn (once home of the 18th century Welsh Bard Hedd Wyn - Ellis Humphrey Evans - and now a museum), and the Tai Kwun Centre for Heritage and Arts in Hong Kong. Their experience and knowledge will be invaluable to the project.

Purcell will work with us on the design and development of Hull Maritime Museum, Dock Office Chambers and the North End Shipyard, bringing their wealth of knowledge and experience to help draw Hull's maritime story together and create a true citywide experience.

Widely regarded as the leading, UK-owned, marine civil engineering consultancy, Beckett Rankine will oversee maritime engineering for the HYMC project. Responsibilities will include overseeing restoration work on the Arctic Corsair, Spurn Lightship and at the North End Shipyard. We are extremely proud to be working with these industry experts.

Haley Sharpe Design (hsd) is an international design consultancy working across the museum and heritage sectors.

Their dynamic studio has been delivering transformative visitor attractions and experiences around the world since 1981 and are passionate about audiences, collections and narratives. As experts in communication, hsd’s multi-disciplinary teams develop unique experiences for each and every project.

hsd is working collaboratively with us to preserve, make accessible and promote the City’s maritime heritage and develop innovative and sustainable interpretation at the Maritime Museum, on board the Arctic Corsair and Spurn Lightship in addition to enhanced public realm heritage interventions. Designs will reveal human connections to those who lived through Hull’s maritime past, providing surprising and engaging experiences, and connecting communities to different viewpoints on narratives thought of as familiar.

Simpson is a privately owned, debt-free and medium-sized Main Contractor based in York. Providing a unique construction, fit-out and development service, supported by our in-house joinery manufacturing facility.
