Work to carefully dismantle and move the skeleton of a juvenile North Atlantic right whale and seven other marine skeletons was completed in October 2020 by specialist conservator Nigel Larkin and Phil Rye.

The fragile skeleton of a north Atlantic whale, that hasn’t moved for 45 years, and seven other whale and tuna skeletons are the first objects to be dismantled and moved from the Hull Maritime Museum. This is to make way for the £12m refurbishment.
