The energy and excitement of Colliderfest and Colliderfest After Dark have come to a spectacular end, with thousands of people taking part in the highly anticipated new look festival.
Thousands of people descended on Hull city centre between Friday 14 and Sunday 16 March. Organised by University of Hull, Hull City Council and Hull Maritime in partnership with Hull Culture and Leisure. This year's festival exceeded all expectations, offering an unforgettable experience filled with captivating performances, engaging workshops, and mesmerising night time light and sound installations turning the city centre into a vibrant, nocturnal playground.
During the day, Colliderfest showcased a mix of more than 80 events, they included hands-on experiments, live shows, and thought-provoking discussions led by industry professionals and world-renowned scientists. Highlights include performances by award-winning presenter Maddie Moate and inspirational speaker Matthew Tosh.




Colliderfest After Dark was the night time extension of Colliderfest, offering a unique blend of music, art, and immersive experiences. Designed to captivate and entertain, Colliderfest After Dark, shined a light on our buildings and historic landmarks like never before.


ColliderFest Highlights:
- Daytime events: Colliderfest showcased more than 80 events, including hands-on experiments, live shows, and thought-provoking discussions led by industry professionals and world-renowned scientists.
- Special guests: Highlights included performances by award-winning presenter Maddie Moate, inspirational speaker Matthew Tosh and Oscar nominated director and actor, Chiwetel Ejiofor CBE.
- Engaging workshops: Attendees participated in interactive workshops, gaining new skills and insights from experts.
- Mesmerising night time show: The city centre came alive with mesmerising light and sound installations, creating a unique and immersive evening experience.
