In total, 130 new trees will be planted in Queens Gardens as part of a major refurbishment.

The first batch of Taxodium distichum (Swamp Cypress) are being planted within the gardens. Some of the trees are 40 years old, and weigh 4.5 tonnes.

The trees are currently dormant and a perfect time to plant.

It is expected to have all the trees planted by the end of February 2024.
