The city's rich maritime collection comprising of 40,000 objects, each a physical reminder of Hull’s extensive maritime past, is returning to a new storage centre.
During the museum's transformation tens of thousands of objects were packed and placed in secure storage at a secret location.
Now, a new bespoke storage facility has been created and now the maritime treasures are returning to the city.
The collection, ranging from small objects and documents to large ship models and paintings, is returning.
On arrival, each object is unloaded from the delivery truck and the outer packaging used to transport the objects is removed before the collections are examined and allocated to a specific place within the stores.
It is then examined for any imperfections or damage during the time it has been in storage.
After being checked and logged it is then moved to its new location.
