Withernsea Library Art Club recently enjoyed a special maritime-themed session, teaming up with the local arts organisation Square Peg Hull.
The workshop, led by Directors Jemma Brown and Rachel Elm, brought the community together to create stunning shimmering fish artworks inspired by Hull's rich fishing heritage.
Since 2021, Square Peg Hull has been delivering creative taster workshops across Hull and into the East Riding, connecting communities with the region's maritime history through hands-on, imaginative activities. The collaboration with Withernsea Library Art Club is yet another example of their dedication to inspiring creativity and fostering a deeper appreciation for the local culture.
Participants left the session not only with their beautiful creations but also with a renewed connection to Hull’s fishing legacy—a testament to the power of art in preserving history and building community bonds.
