The creation of a new visitor centre to tell the story of the Arctic Corsair and the River Hull area is reaching the final stages of completion. 

Take a look at the progress by a team of 17 from the Ashcourt Group. 

The entrance including a changing places facility have been created and equipment has been installed.

The main exhibition and display space on the first floor is nearing completion with finishing touches being made.

The lighting tracks and other provisions for the new displays and exhibitions have been installed.

Flooring has been laid and skirting has been added along with the air flow equipment for energy efficiency. The fire suppression has been fitted.

Hull's last remaining 20th century Scotch Derrick Crane is being restored and will be installed near the visitor centre.
