4th September 2019

Yesterday evening (3 September 2019), Emma Hardy, MP for Hull West and Hessle, spoke in Westminster Hall to secure governmental and cross party support for the Hull: Yorkshire’s Maritime City project.

Building on Hull’s successful year as UK City of Culture, the project will place Hull’s rich maritime story centre stage, creating a long-term legacy for decades to come. In the 10 minute address, Emma Hardy detailed the importance of the project as a transformational regeneration scheme. The positive impact the project will have was highlighted, including how it will boost the local economy, deliver jobs and provide educational opportunities in the city.
